USA / Florida / Tallahassee / Tallahassee, Florida / North Copeland Street, 114
school, music -to be removed/cleaned, Florida State University (FSU)

This is the original and older FSUSOM Building. The Kuersteiner Building was built in 1948, and renovated between the years 1989 and 1991. This building houses the choral and piano classrooms, as well as the Sellers Amphitheatre, Lindsay Recital Hall, and the Opperman Music Hall, which houses the 1975 Holtkamp Tracker Organ.

The south part of Floor 2 was the location of a sinkhole that had started to swallow that part of the building. It has since been covered up.

A skybridge connects the second floor of Kuersteiner with the second floor of Housewright.

Named after an FSU Dean of Music, Dr. Karl Otto Kuersteiner.

KMU has four floors plus a basement.
