Al Gharbia VETI - Vocational education and training (VET) (Madinat Zayed City)

Al Gharbia VETI has been established to prepare Emiratis to effectively perform in the UAE work force. Al Gharbia VETI runs its operation and plans its programs to facilitate student development and to reach the maturity required in the workforce. Al Gharbia VETI graduates entering the workforce are job ready. Job readiness is one of the key strengths of vocational education and training graduates.

Job readiness means that employers can be assured that Al Gharbia VETI graduates can competently perform the necessary skills to achieve their outcomes.

The offered programmes in Al Gharbia VETI are based on the worldwide recognized German Vocational Education System. The Al Gharbia VETI will be set-up and operated under the patronage of the German agency for technical cooperation “gtz”.

Special training in the first year of training as well as career guidance throughout the whole three year program insuring the right choice of program for all participants will cater for a smooth transition into technical training and the world of industry.

The Al Gharbia VETI provides practical approach with hands-on experience in well equipped laboratories and workshops. The practical part of the training will dominate the whole programme and additionally attachment programmes in relevant industrial will be organized to ensure a close relation with relevant industry.

The diploma, obtained after successful completion of the three years programme, can lead into two directions. On the one hand it will provide a gateway to national and international institutes of higher learning such as Universities of Applied Science in Germany. On the other hand it will allow the graduates to directly join the workforce.
