  • This was once LAIMOKRAH not LAITUMKRAH. I was born and brought up here , so this place I know from the very beginning . If you know or not , I roamed the vincity of Laimokrah with my Daddy. It was renamed LAITUMKRAH somewhere in the mid 1981-82-83's . I lived in Nongthymy , near Jieng Kieng. If any one who lived in these places is there viewing this page description, then email me at babydan@sify.com and I will be the happiest fella in the world!!!

  • Laitumkhrah is the place where i was brought up with loving care and affection. It is a wonderful place with all good schools within walking distance, with a good climate and friendly people. It is a good place to be in. Whenever I am in Shillong, I walk nostalgically through Laitumkhrah and reminise my old days.
  • i was born here and still had the memory of those days and time where i grow up gradually holding those nostalgic moments till i graduated and left shillong for work but i still visit and feel the difference of then and now.
  • Someone mentioned that the name of Laitumkhrah was renamed in the 80's. My family lived there and in the late 60's this town was called Laitumkhrah even then. I have never known it being called by any other name
