This is very holy place. A recognition of Brajrajnagar. The idol of Mata Chandi is inside a cave on the just bank of Ib River at the South-east corner of Brajrajnagar.
Every year grand fair and festival is celebrated during both CHAITRA NAVRATRA AND ASHWIN NAVARATRA.

    The story behind the appearance of mata Chandi had took place years & years ago. In Tretaya Yuga Lord Rama along with brother Lakshman & wife mata Sita went for 14 years of banishment. During that period they moved to many villages,jungles,crossed many hills & rivers. At that time when they were at Brajrajnagar's jungle area they had an encounter with Kulai Chandi who wishes to hunt them. At this moment Rama took his bow & arrow to aim at her . No sooner did She see Rama trying to shoot her , she begs for appology. The noble & kind hearted Prince not only excused her but also gave her boon & ask her not to harm anyone rather to become the deity of the area & to protect , help & bless the dwellers & other people who seek her worship. From that day Kulai Chandi became Goddess Rama Chandi, the incarnation of Adi Sakti and stay in the cave by the side of the river IB, the place where lies Maa Ramachandi mandir. And the arrow which Rama had aim to shoot at Kulai Chandi was shot in the ground. From the place the arrow hit, Lingam of Deva di Dev , Mahadev came out...Madev & some other dieties too are also worshiped in the temple Jai Maa Rama Chandi
