The Monte Orlando is a high promontory 171 m above sea level located in the province of Latina, where is the town of Gaeta.

On the top there is the mausoleum of Lucius Munatius Plancus and, on its side close to the sea (the Tyrrhenian Sea), there is the so-called Split Mountain, a series of cracks in the rock overlooking the sea, especially impressive and also visited directly from the hill. just before it is possible to admire the Grotto of Turkish.

Monte Orlando is connected to the mainland by a strip of land (isthmus) slightly on the hill, where there is the village, the modern quarter and, on the port side of a civil and military, and, on the other side of the beach Serapo.

A park ("Regional Park Riviera of Ulysses") covers almost the whole of the mountain. Only in some coastal stretches of the mountain, not managed by the management of the park, fishing is permitted.

The Mount, excluding the south side is not inhabited but is covered by forests. Paths allow you to trekking and bike riding in the green and the majesty of the landscapes.
