Official Designation of Jamgaon Dam Irrigation Project is " Jamgaon Dam , D - 03998 " . However local and popular name is " Jamgaon Lake / Jamgaon Talav ". Jamgaon Dam was constructed as parts of Irrigation Projects by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 1981 . It is built on and impounds a local Nallah. Nearest city to dam is Warud in Taluka Warud in Amravati District of Maharashtra .
