The Madison Heights School Building consists of the 1939 elementary school, as well as two 1966 additions, one of which was built on the site of a former high school. 1930s additions to the former high school still stand, at the northeast corner of the structure. Long abandoned, the property sold at auction in the late 1990s for less than $30,000. No work has since been done to the school and a fire has claimed a portion of it.
