Formerly Buildings 28, and 29, Barracks. originally constructed 1931. Building 29 was used as WAVES barracks (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). These buildings were originally in the shape of a capital "I" when viewed from the air, but in order to accomodate the stores, the center section was demolished and new walls were constructed to enlarge the building. When in Navy use, the middle part of the I-shaped buildings were dominated by bathrooms. The Vons store encompasses the first floor of both buildings, one side is for produce and perishable departments, while the other side is for dry goods.

The second floor of Building 29 is home to Vons store offices, while the second floor of Building 28 is occupied by the offices of various small businesses.
