A Prominent Panchayat in Kerala State and MARAMON is one of the Major Wards , where Famous Maramon Marthoma Church is located & Maramon Convention is conducted. Holy River Pumpa flowing through the Border of this Panchayat and the world famous Maramon convention is conducted on the banks of this Holy River.

Just other side of the River is the Famous Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple is Located, and Armula Boat Race is Conducted on the Prathishta Day of this Temple. The Full length of the Boat Race Water Stadium is on the border of this Panchayat. In this Panchayat we have three famous PALLIYODAMS (Snake Boats), namely Thottapuzhacherry, Maramon and Nedumprayar and all of them got the first prices in many Previous Aranmula Boat Races. Also we are very lucky to have three more PALLIYODAMS namely Edaserrymala, Aranmula, Kozhencherri and Garudavahanam just other side of the River. We strongly believe that Bhaghavan's Holy Presence will be always on the GARUDAVAHANAM and Palliyodams. So we are very lucky to have so many Palliyodams and the GARUDAVAHANAM Near close vicinity of our village.

Also it should be noticed that the major route to Pilgrimage for Shabarimala Temple, Parumala Pally and Manjinikkara Pally are passing through this Panchayat. In this Panchayat Hindus and Christians live in a very harmonious manner for ages.

Even though this Panchayat is primarily an Agricultral Oriented area, many youngsters are working in different parts of the world and this is the main source of the financial strength.

There are many famous Christian Churches and Hindu Temples in our Panchayat.
