Ohio Cold Rolling is a division of Esmark which acquired the idled plant from bankrupt RG Steel in 2012.

The operations of the former Wheeling – Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, were purchased by Russian steelmaker Severstal AG from Esmark in August 2008, then by RG Steel in 2010.

Under the ownership of RG Steel, cold rolling was performed at Yorkville, Ohio , and galvanized on the two coating lines at the RG Steel neighboring Martins Ferry, Ohio, facility. Consuming industries for the resultant products included tubing, pipe, container, appliance, automotive parts, construction and agricultural. Some of RG Steel’s output was sent to the RG Steel's then wholly owned subsidiary Wheeling Corrugating Company.
