RS Puram (or "Rathina Sabapathi Puram") (Tamil: ஆர் எஸ் புரம்)is a well planned residential colony promoted by the then Coimbatore Muncipality ,. The then Municipal chairman was Shri.C.S.Rahtnasabapathi Mudaliar, the most popular chairman of the council since its inception had promoted this residential area. Before the times of Shri.CSR, a great visionary Shri.S.P.Narasimmalu Naidu has worked hard with a technical team and given shape to a scheme, which is now considered pride of coimbatore, the SIRUVANI drinking water shceme, for bringing drinking water to Coimbatore from SIRUVANI. The scheme was implemented during Shri.CSR's chairmanship.

Now RS Puram has emerged as posh and glamour commercial hub in the City. RS Puram is the second costliest area of Coimbatore. Though mainly a residential area, RS Puram also emerges as a larger shopping and commercial hub of the city.
