This is the Oakmont Service Plaza (recently renamed Oakmont Plum Service Plaza), one of the original service plazas that opened when the Western Expansion opened in 1951. The original building was razed shortly after Labor Day 2006. A week before Memorial Day 2007, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and HMS Host opened a new state-of-the-art facility on the site of the former service plaza.

Located on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) eastbound side, milepost 49.3, it features restrooms, Burger King, Starbucks, Pizzeria Uno, The Doggery, Hershey's Ice Cream, a convenience store, and Sunoco gas.

Following the permanent closure of the eastbound Zelienople Service Plaza at milepost 21.7, this is the first eastbound plaza on the Pa Turnpike coming from Ohio.

The next service plaza is 63 miles to the east.
