This site encompasses 73 acres of maritime hammock, beach, coastal strand, and mangrove habitats. A conspicuous, prominent oceanfront outcropping of Anastasia limestone is evident along the Atlantic shoreline. The site's name is derived from the appearance of the ocean spray, which surges from the limestone holes and crevices. A dune trail, originating from the main beach access path, parallels the beach from south to north. The environmental preserve also offers an interpretive center, plant nursery, and lagoon trail. Additionally, a boardwalk offers access to the mangrove marshes, as well. Parking is available on the east and west sides of State Highway A1A.
