township, region, draw only border

Cranberry Township was incorporated in 1804 and named after the wild cranberries that grew locally. The township has experienced high growth in recent decades, thanks to its access to such important highways as the PA Turnpike (I-76) and I-79. Since 1989, when the opening of I-279 cut the commute time to Pittsburgh to under half an hour, Cranberry's population has almost doubled to approximately 28,000.
