Maradu is small village near Cochin.Most of area are swamps and are reclaimed for constructing highways and hotels. NH-47 bypass, NH 49, NH 47A are going through Maradu. The Galfar group also have setup its convention center & Hotel Le-Meridian here, at Kundanoor Junction. It will be in furture amalgamated into cochin city due to meet the requirement of land for the city to expand.

Maradu is also well known because of Maradu vedikkettu, is a part of celebration at Maradu Kottaram Bhagavathi Temple.

  • Who said about water scarcity. 24 hours water are available. The vast developing panchayath near the EKM city. Big hospitals and hotels. All the leading building developers are coming to Maradu.

  • I love Nettoor, Maradu. It is a beautiful quite village very close to the commercial capital of Kerala. I have a flat in Alfa Serene (next to Le Meridien Annexe)in one of the top floors, the view is amazing during day and night and when it rains...vow :) Really Gods Own Country...but we need to improve a lot in our........ :)

  • Maradu is an excellent place to live and relax in GODS OWN COUNTRY .I have my apartment at CORAL COVE on the 13th floor which provides an excellent view of the backwater and Ernakulam from Height .
  • I came to maradu 3 days before... am staying near to psm hospital... area is less comfortable.. no shops nearby to buy necessary items.... and alot of mosquito.....
