11-inch Krupp guns that crippled the Blucher

1892 F Krupp 11-inch (28 cm) gun
These obsolete guns were fired by untrained reservists at the German heavy cruiser Blucher as she sailed toward Oslo.
The crews waited until the ship was less than a mile away and fired the two main guns at almost point-blank range. Both hit and caused extensive damage to the ship.
Shore-based torpedoes (also obsolete) fired from the fortress finished off the cruiser and she sank six miles up the fjord.
The short action here was one of the few bright spots for the Allies during the fall of Norway.
