The beautiful house (Bryusov of the lane, 21) is only a part of the big building, leaving a corner on the Tver street. In the beginning of XIX century it belonged to brothers, both major generals, Andrey and Cyril Gudovich.

In 1874 the house was trimmed on the outside with new molding. In 1898 under the project of architect S.K. Rodionova the facade of the house was updated at which time on the angular semirotunda was placed a coat of arms with the motto «IN DEO SPES MEA» («in God my hope») and the initials of the owner «АМ» - Andrey Miklashevskov.

With the reconstruction and expansion Tverskaya, this part of the big house of Gudovich brothers was moved into the middle. In a Soviet period the building was occupied by the State committee of the USSR on a science and technology.
