This is the Church where Rev. G.P. Vethanayagam served for more than 25 years. As a mark of respect and love the congregation of this church presented a brass "chembu" to him which is still in the possession of Mrs. Chandra Williams, the last daughter of Rev.GPV. Rev. GPV was transferred to Thirumangalam near Madurai. He worked there only for a few months. One day he went out for outreach ministry and was brought back dead owing to a massive cardiac arrest. His wife Mrs. Packiam brought up her seven children through prayer, yes, only through prayer.

  • Rev GPV served in Thirumangalam for a further 10 years. His cemetery headstone shows the date of death as 14-1-1930 and total service as a pastor as 35 years.
