Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple is an anicient temple built before 1000 AD and the stone inscriptions in the temple show records that Palanati Bramha Naidu visited this temple. Sri krishna Devaraya after winning the Dharani kota has stayed in this temple. Krishna Devaraya has erected the Vijaya Stambham and the central hall. Two brothers have carved the beautiful 'Anna Dammula Stambhalu' that are musically tuned. The sculptures on the 40 pillared hall depict the great silpa kala of that period.
