BCN(battery construction number) 282. A coastal defense battery built as part of Ft. McAndrew by the US during WW2 to defend the Navy facilities at Argentia. Armed with two 6" guns mounted on shielded long range barbette carriages. This is the only 200-series battery remaining with it's original armament still emplaced.
