Kesavadasapuram is a bustling urban area located between Pattom and Ulloor at Thiruvananthapuram. This vibrant place was earlier known as Kattachakonam by the locals. Later it came to be known as 'Kesavadasapuram', as a tribute to Raja Kesavadas, the then Diwan of the King Rama Varma of Travancore. Kesavadaspuram is a major junction where the Main Central Road (M C Road) intersects with the National Highway 47 (NH 47). The major landmarks include the Juma Masjid, Mahatma Gandhi College, Chaithanya Eye Hospital and Research Institute (CEHRI), Directorate of Mining and Geology in the Kedaram Shopping Complex, Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technology, Food Corporation of India and Sree Vishakhom Thirunal School of Epigraphy. Trivandrum International Airport (around 9 km) and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (7 km) are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
