Cuffe Parade Breakwater, built in the 1940s, this was supposed to join up with 'Nariman Point' in order to enclose the 'inter-tidal zone' and enable reclamation, but was abandoned first for financial reasons, and then for environmental reasons, as environmentalists opposed any further reclamation of land from the sea.
