Jacob Andreevich Rekka was the founder of the Moscow trading-building joint-stock company and one of the leaders of the major building company's of the early 20th century. His house was erected in 1902-1903 by the architect G. A. Gelrikh. The construction is executed in a decorative modernist style, with lots of vegetative decor, such as bunches of flowers, leaves, etc.

Many decorative items can be found on top of the left bay window, above the main entrance to the mansion and on top of the ridge on the facade of the right side of the house. In the middle of one and a second panel made masks, decorated with flowers and stems of plants: the female mask is placed on the right, the male - to the left. One of the main elements is a small dome over the left bay window, covered with scales. Notice the modern style metal fence and small garden.
