NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, 1860s construction
Built in 1867 and named for Nathaniel Briggs Borden, former mill owner (of the Pocasset Mills), mayor, state representative and U.S. Representative, the N.B. Borden School served students in the Corky Row section of the city for many years. It was added to the NRHP in 1983, though it has since closed; its students now attending the Carlton Viveiros Elementary School.
