Krishnarayapuram is the name of the Revenue Village which includes Pappanaicken palayam and Avarampalayam together. The boundries of krishnarayapuram has to be altered as per revenue records.
This is the oldest village in existence, since three centuries ago. Krishnarayapuram during Madurai Nayak dynasty rule was named after the great Vijayanagar Emperor Chakravarthi Shri Krishna Deva Rayar .
