(Km 9.3) A scienic view point over cliffs. Also the site of a monument mentioning Sir Thomas Moir, who "turned the first sod" (beginning construction in 1929) of the "Goschen Road" (completed by 1932) which joins the Kodaikanal - Lake Berijam road here. The "Goschen Road" served the villages of Poombarai and Kukkal northwest of this place. Extensions to Mannavanur (junction), and Kavunji, together with a connecting road to Berijam Lake from near Kavunji, created a loop of about forty miles length -- the "Forty Mile Round". The Forest Department checkpoint restricting access to Berijam Lake is located very near here.
