  • I had been working in Bank of Baroda at Harij in 1978. Untouchability was at peak in those days. Our peons who all were brahmin were hasitaing to serve drinking water to me in common glasses. I came to know that one separate matka (Pot) was kept by them for me. I brought this to the notice of Manager who advised me to tolerate if I wanted to serve. We are always un-lucky that when there are sarkar/power in Gandhinagar and Our MLA in oppositions. So no developments atll has been done since we got independences since 1947. There are no Colleges in Harij or Sami regions, there are no science schools, there are no GIDC, there in no Raiways, no good potable/drinking waters. There are many reasons we have not these kind of facilities,developments in this regions.B'cos we have dirty local/domestic politics.And our MLA never intersted to do so.
