  • nawab mehmood khan grand son of nawab najibuddola who was last nawab of najibabad fought gallantly against birtishers in 1857 .he was imposed a sentence of transportation for life.he died in meerut jail awaiting sentence. we the people of najibabad are proud of him.his close relatives eg.nephew ahmadullah khan'brother etc.alllaid down their lives.nawab was a great patriot& a UNSUNG HERO of 1st freedom struggle.it is a pity on part of govt and we people that QILA PATHARGARh a monument associated with 1st freedom stuggle is in shambles.
