Weekends and the last Thursday of the month bring out the local artists to peddle their wares on the street. Trendy, with great restaurants and bars.

This previous understates the case. This is an extra-ordinarily lively neighborhood in the evenings which isn't nearly as upscale, or expensive, or trendy as the Pearl or Hawthorne or the NW 23rd street area. Refreshing and well worth a visit.
