The Parish has been going strong for well over 400 years. It is one of the oldest parishes boasting one of the largest population of Roman Catholics in Mumbai, descendants of the lower caste communities that were converted by the Portuguese who arrived here in the sixteenth century. The parish is dedicated to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception through a very interesting history. Celebrating the Church Feast on 8th December has been the tradition of the local christians for well over a hundred years.
