The actual and original location of "Muscle Beach" before activity moved two miles south to the "Muscle Beach Venice" in the 1960s. The 'original' was open from the 1930s-1959, and reopened in 1989 by Santa Monica as a gymnastics and acrobatics training park named "Original Muscle Beach." The original 'old regulars' continue to congregate here.
