Forefathers of Abomai,Chakremai and Ajichemai initially settled down on this mount when they came up from Chakre Chovou (Mao Songsong) to defend the Mao villages against marauding Maram warriors. These settlers who were chosen as the greatest warriors among the Maos fended off the attacks of Maram warriors and gradually settled down at the present villages bringing large areas of fertile land under their control.
