This area includes a cricket/football ground, popularly called Krishnapuram ground, which was once used for training the soldiers of the kingdom of Kayamkulam. Adjacent to this ground is the famous Krishnapuram Palace where the Kayamkulam king once headquartered. There is a big pond, once used to bath the King's horses, that today is not well maintained. A small temple with a simple office is also contained in this area. The temple is used by Hindus in this area.

Many school level cricket/football/athletics activities happen in this ground. Officially this ground is administered by the Technical High School Krishnapuram which is located in the east of the ground.
