  The lake is not safe to swim in, especially after rains wash the fertilizer & vehicle jetsam from the yards & streets. Of course, this is true in most human populated areas on earth.

  Lake Fairfax was allegedly built in 1953 by the then owner Jack Crippen. It is 24' in depth at its deepest point. It was the lower pasture land of an 800+ acre farm. On the far side of the lake are cliffs. there was once a soapstone quarry here and that is the only remaining part of it.
