Guttikonda bilam has historical importance. Palanati Yuddam was fought in 1182AD at Karempudi 20kms from Guttikonda bilam. Palanati Bramha Naidu and his 66 brave warriors have stayed in Guttikonda bilam during the period. Bus fromn Narasarao pet to Macherla via Guttikonda are frequently available, From Guttikonda village auto riskhsawa (shared type charge - Rs.10/- per head) are available but, we may have to wait for some time.
Inside Guttikonda Bilam KONERU water is very pure. Light arrangement has been made by Tourism department. At the entrance Raja Rajeswari Temple, and a siva temple have been seen. Anicent Sila Sasanam of 11th century is seen in from of the sivalayam. Inside the cave Ganesh murthi, sivalingam and worship place is seen opposite to the entrance. Pleaseant surroundings. On the ay to BILAM 100 meters towards left side we find a Nayakuralu Nagamma Sila without any decorations. Sorey is that towards the end of 1182AD Palanati yuddam, Nagamma followed Bramhanaidu and his warriors till this place and at once she became a stone as she reached the sport.
