Cathedral High School, founded in 1918, is a private, coeducational Catholic high school serving students in grades 9 to 12. It was once affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis and was run by the Brothers of Holy Cross. Now the school is separate from both and operated as a private nonprofit institution.

As part of this change, in 1976 the school moved from its longtime location in downtown Indianapolis to its present campus at the site of the former all-girls Ladywood St. Agnes Academy. This led to the admission of girls to Cathedral High School.
