The first section of the Alexandria Hotel, seven stories, was designed by John Parkinson in 1904, and "finished" in 1906.
In 1910 this eleven story extension, designed by Parkinson and his associate, G.E. Berstrom, was added to the existing building. It includes the famed Palm Court.
