Bunker Hill, in the downtown area of Los Angeles, California, is a short, developed hill with its peak located roughly around 3rd Street. It is located directly east of the Harbor Freeway. Due to the skyscrapers built on it, the hill stands out from the rest of the Los Angeles basin and is synonymous with "downtown Los Angeles" as far as most people are concerned.

  • the Bunker Hill of today is completely unrecognizable from the old days of beautiful old LA. The hill has been mostly pounded down, nearly all of the beautiful old historic buildings long gone, and turned into a concrete jungle in the name of "development", just like many other once-beautiful and unique sections of Los Angeles. I don't understand why the brilliant city fathers over the decades couldn't develop the crap out of the more southern sections of downtown, and preserve the hilly, historic and unique areas. What a shame.
