Buffalo South is a friendly, local bar where James Islanders and transplantees from Buffalo (and the Great Lakes region) gather. It’s been a family owned restaurant since 2001, but has just switched hands from hands from Mom and Pop Haertel to son Jeff Haertel and his friend Jay Thier (he’s a Miami fan, but we have to let him in…sorry). The restaurant moved last year from a little hole in the wall on Folly Road closer to the beach. The new location is much larger, with vastly improved parking. There have been many exciting changes in the last couple months, so stop in and check them out while watching your Bills and Sabres play (but for those of you not from Buffalo, we have other games, too).
