One of the loveliest beaches near Kailua Kona, accessible by a rough road from Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway. The crescent-shaped beach has cornmeal-like sand and a good amount of shade from palm trees. Swimming is acceptible, but not great, as the nearshore is shallow and rocky. There is a popular surfbreak to the North.
