The Rahumäe railway station building is a historical station building at the Rahumäe railway station in the Nõmme district of Tallinn. The building is a cultural monument. The station building was built in 1930. Before that (since 1926), a converted freight car was used as a building, which was transported to the Kivimäe railway station after the new one was completed. In 1932, a post office was also opened in the station building. Currently, the building houses a children's play and leisure centre (Rahumäe Mängujaam), which is also accessible to people with disabilities. The Rahumäe railway station building is located at Pärnu mnt. 288b. The walls were built of bricks with the addition of oil shale ash, like the Hiiu station building. The building is one-story, with an area of about 100 m². Meanwhile, the station building remained unused because the railway decided to move ticket sales to trains and closed the station building. The windows and doors were slammed shut, the walls were covered with dirt, and the building was looted. The roof was stepped. The building was originally intended to house a police checkpoint. In August 2004, reconstruction of the building began. Blocked window openings were opened, additional partitions were demolished, the façade was cleaned, and the surrounding area was tidied up.
