Rahumäe railway station is located in the village of the same name in the Nõmme district of Tallinn. on the Tallinn–Keila railway, 6.8 km from the Baltic Station. The stop is located between the Järve and Nõmme railway stations. Elron electric trains stopping at the station run from Tallinn to Keila, Paldiski, Riisipere and Klooga Rand. The railway station was opened in 1926. The original station building was a freight car converted into a station building. The current building, made of shale ash brick, was completed in 1930. A postal agency was opened in the station building in 1932]. Ticket sales at the station ceased in the spring of 1998. The Rahumäe railway station building, which had been empty for a long time, is currently used as a play and leisure centre for children with disabilities, officially called the Nõmme Leisure Centre Play Station.
