Agra Fort is located in Agra, India. The fort is also known as Lal Qila, Fort Rouge and Red Fort of Agra. It is about 2.5 km northwest of its much more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. UNESCO designated the Fort a World Heritage Site in 1983.
This impressive red standstone fort was built by Akbar between 1565-1573 A.D.

  • This is not the red fort but the Agra Fort. The original Red Fort is in Delhi.
  • This massive fort is 2.5 kms long and is considered as the predecessor of the Delhi Red fort.
  • This a very beautiful fort.But in comparision of Taj Mahal it is less beautiful. The agra fort is very nice place to visit.
