The plant is the former Port Costa Brick Company, which was organized in 1905 and ceased making bricks in 1962. The plant was refitted by Pacific Custom Materials to process light-weight aggregate. The property is now idle and most of the plant buildings have been removed.

  • PCM is closed, and the East Bay Regional Park District has, or is going to, acquire part of the property here and add it to the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline. I think the EBRPD might back out if it's found that a cleanup of toxic materials is needed.
