Before the war - one of the main divisions of the state-owned Syrian Petroleum Company. Most of the complex was destroyed / seriously damaged as a result of the Coalition airstrikes in 2015-16 (including a series of massive strikes in February 2015). Now the complex serves as a training camp / parade ground for SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) and HXP (Self-Defense Forces).
