Clark Kerr Campus is a Spanish mission style residential complex located 5 blocks southeast of the main UC Berkeley campus. Formerly the
State Asylum for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind, the City of Berkeley and the University of California fought for the land when the school relocated in 1980. The University won the majority of the land in court and opened the converted residence hall in 1983. Clark Kerr is a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places as number 82000962.
