This is the largest producer of non-ferrous metals in the DPRK. It uses aluminum from the Pusan-ri Aluminum Factory in Sunchon to produce aluminum and tungsten with an estimated annual capacity of 20,000 tons. It was constructed in cooperation with the Soviet Union in 1982.
