A classic example of Brutalist architecture, the Pfohl, Roberts and Biggie-designed Buffalo City Court Building is a 10-story building completed in 1974 featuring thin vertical windows edging large concrete panels. Intended to "keep the courtrooms and judges' chambers free from outside distraction", the City Court Building is lauded as one of the ugliest buildings in Buffalo.
