From 1740-1770 this was the urban estate of the younger brother of the favorite of Tsarina Elizabeth Petrovna - Count Cyril Grigorevich Razumovsky, who was also the President of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences and the hetman of Ukraine.

House resembles in its common features, the Petersburg urban house of K.G. Razumovsky (now the main housing of St. Petersburg Hertzen Pedagogical University); however, it is more modest in size and decoration.

In the 19th century this was part of the estate of Count A. D. Sheremetev.
