The 104 ac. park, formerly called Prince Road Park, originated in 1928 with the aquisition of a 16 ac. parcel of land by the then Town of Sandwich. In 1958, the park was expanded by 28 acs. and a further 60 acs. were added in 1972.
The park features an outdoor swimming pool and spray pad as well as 4 baseball diamonds, a soccer complex, a football field, walking trails, horseshoe pitches, 4 tennis courts and picnic areas. The Father Cullen Baseball Stadium built in 1972 seats 5,000 and is home to the Windsor Chiefs Baseball Club. The privately owned Wild Waters Slide was also located in the park.
